Pur Matte Liquid Lipstick + Pur Lip Gloss Collection + On Point Lip Liner Review + Swatches on Brown Skin
Hey Brown Girl!
Today I am bringing you a review on the entire Pur Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick and Lip gloss collection, and the On Point Lip Liners PLUS swatches on my brown skin. The velvety matte liquid lipsticks are packaged similarly to the lip gloss collection with silver tops and clear tubing, except the glosses are distinguishable by their glossy top. Whereas the matte liquid lipsticks have a matte top. This makes it SUPER easy to pick colors once you are familiar with the shades. The liquid lipsticks and lip liners retail for $18 USD.
PUR LIQUID LIPGLOSS
So Let's Get to Swatching girl! Below are Mattes, then glosses, then lip liners.
From Top to Bottom: Addiction, Obsessed, Dutty Wine, Innocent, Oh Bae, Ever After, FBF, Arm Candy, Smarty Pants, Squad, DIY, Heart Breaker ,Rebel, Teddy (lip liner), Vamp (lip liner), Power trip (lip liner), Low key (lip liner).
So let's chat about the velvety mattes first. I am totally feeling the formula of the matte shades! They are so darn easy to apply its crazy! I can seriously apply to my entire lips by just dipping into the tube once. Don't worry I am currently editing a lip swatch video which will showcase the bomb application, but believe me girl the photo doesn't lie. The pigmentation is on point, application is smooth, I am in love!
The colors that I can't rock with: Obsessed and Oh Bae. Listen, if you pair it with a lip liner then you will slay all day. But walk out side wearing these two shades without liner and you will most certainly look like Dave Chapel.
My favorite Matte Shades would have to be Addiction, Innocent, and FBF. These are so bomb on brown skin! They will have you feeling yourself for sure. Dutty Wine is beautiful too. I really loved them all, but Obsessed and Oh Bae did not flatter me at all.
Liquid Lip Gloss
Now, I wasn't so hyped up by the liquid lipgloss. The formula is pretty thick to be honest. I didn't like how hard it was to apply. Not to mention, the color can apply patchy (as you can see in the swatches). I defintey reccomend applying this over a lipstick or lining your entire lip prior to application. The colors are beautiful on the lips (especially Arm Candy, Smarty Pants, and Squad), but it is a thick sticky formula. The lip liners apply very smoothly and have strong staying power. Pairing them with the lipgloss is a bomb combination.
Overall, I am really feeling the matte liquid lipstick by Pur, and think the Lip gloss line could use some formula tweaks. To fix this, just pair it with a liner. I will most certainly be rocking my faves from both collection this summer. Hope you enjoyed my honest review. Catch you loves in my next post!
