Hey Brown Girl!
We are popping it off with a swatch review of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. This palette is clothed in glossy orange gradient covered in cute little peach textures. Inside the palette, the casing surrounding the shadows is a dark faux marble, and is paired with gold lettering. Each shadow in the palette has a sweet peach smell, but it is not overpowering. It is just enough to leave a nice aroma that will leave you feeling like a boss once the face beat is complete.
The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette retails for $49, which is pretty standard for a high-end palette this size. It comes with 16 shades and a nice mix of shimmers and mattes. This was actually my first high-end palette. My husband purchased this palette as a "I love you and appreciate all that you do" gift. He took me on a trip to Sephora, and I was actually intending on getting the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette (but it was sold out at the time). So, I settled on the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette (which was also on my list), but the sales associate at Sephora let me know that Too Faced just dropped the peach palette that very same day.
Now, I am not going to flex. I had no idea what the hype was about, but she was looking so giddy talking about this palette. So, I decided to go take a look for myself. When swatching the sweet peach palette in Sephora, the smell is what really got me. I'm not going to lie, I wanted to feel exclusive so I went ahead and got it. I was the first one to purchase that palette in my local Sephora so ya know... I felt pretty good about myself.
Later that night, I did some research and saw that this palette actually sold out the first launch. Too Faced fans were so hyped up about it, that the company promised to release it again and stated that they would have enough for everyone. So here we are, the second release and I got my hands on it. Lets peep some swatches and see if its worth the hype.
Here you see I have been kissed by the Sweet Peach Palette. The shades from top to bottom are: White Peach, Luscious, Just Peachy, Bless Her Heart, Tempting, Charmed I'm Sure, Nectar, Cobbler, Candied Peach, Bellini, Peach Pit, and Delectable.
Overall, the product pigmentation isn't astonishing, but it is pretty good. It's easy to build intensity, which I love. Products that are build-able give you so much control during makeup application. That's a huge plus. Not to mention, the shades rock well with brown skin. I love that these colors can be used to warm up pretty much any makeup look. Not to mention, the peach aroma makes makeup application feel a little more therapeutic. I love things that smell good, and this is definitely a fan fave.
Overall, this is a pretty brown girl friendly palette that I can't wait to get into this summer.
