Hey Brown Girl!
How are you doing beauty?! It's been a little while, and I most certainly missed you guys. Every once and a while I get the chance to travel and visit family and I like to be fully present. So, I shut down my social media and enjoy the time I have with them! NOW I am back bringing you the scoop on how you can utilize your makeup addiction to help domestic violence and cancer survivors. Thrive Causemetics is the way girl.
WHAT'S THE SCOOP ON THRIVE?
The heart behind Thrive Causemetics truly sets the brand apart from other makeup brands. Karissa Bodnar, the founder, lost her friend to cancer at 24 years old. As a result she decided to build a makeup brand that empowers women. For every product purchased, Thrive donates one to a women thriving through cancer or domestic violence. HOW DOPE IS THAT?! I love everything about women empowerment. Hats off to Karissa for building such an amazing brand. Now let's look into the products!
These are the shades I have from the Glossy Lip Mark Collection. The colors apply really smoothly and the formula is not overly sticky. I haven't had a chance to test out "Glinda", the Lip Mate High-Shine Reviving Topper, but I love how pretty the shimmer looks.
The Triple Threat Color Sticks are so so dope! There are a total of four in the collection. I have Joy, Maggie, and Dionne. These can be used for your lips, to highlight your cheekbones (or as a blush), and to highlight your brow bone. I love multi-use products! For us brow girls, Joy is a good highlight shade (for you lip, brow, or cheekbones), and Dionne is good for blush. Maggie is also dark enough to be a blush on my skin tone (which is NC50 in Mac cosmetics).
The Brilliant Eye Brighteners write so smoothly! I love them. Aurora is a rose gold shade, and Stella is more of a champagne. Both are very pretty in the inner eye.
I hope you enjoyed learning about Thrive Causemetics and their movement to empower. Be sure to follow them on Insta to keep up with their new releases and the dope things they are doing for women. Thank you Thrive for sending me these goodies to try. Such a pleasure to share Thrive with my Brown Girls!
